N - Current NSSC Laboratory Pedon.(This "N" is a letter code) .... P - Old NSSC Laboratory Pedon (Years 1978 thru 2000). .... C - Old Riverside Laboratory Pedon (Years 1967 thru 1977). .... A - Old Beltsville, Mandan, Lincoln Laboratories and other SSIR Data (Years 1930 thru 1966, query entry year form is 40) .... ? - Future NCSS Laboratory Identifiers. x = Four digit number assigned by laboratory on receipt of sample. (Reset on new fiscal year) Lab Pedon Number will look like these Examples: 40A0030, 78P0032, 67C0030, 03N0040 (Only "1" Pedon No. per Query).
