Data Entry of Lab Pedon Number


Normal Form of the Lab Pedon Number is: nnLxxxx (This number is created by and for the laboratory)

n = Two digit number of year pedon sampled. (Ex: 78, 92, 04, 40)
L = Letter (N,P,C,A,?)
.... N - Current NSSC Laboratory Pedon.(This "N" is a letter code)
.... P - Old NSSC Laboratory Pedon (Years 1978 thru 2000).
.... C - Old Riverside Laboratory Pedon (Years 1967 thru 1977).
.... A - Old Beltsville, Mandan, Lincoln Laboratories and other SSIR Data (Years 1930 thru 1966, query entry year form is 40)
.... ? - Future NCSS Laboratory Identifiers.
x = Four digit number assigned by laboratory on receipt of sample. (Reset on new fiscal year)

Lab Pedon Number will look like these Examples: 40A0030, 78P0032, 67C0030, 03N0040 (Only "1" Pedon No. per Query).
Asterisk Character can replace any number! ..Ex:78P002* or **P0030, .."Careful!! * May Dump Complete Database!"

If you do not have the Exact Lab Pedon Number it is suggested you seek your information by Country, State Admin Div, and County option. This option will give you an array of data from the state or area of interest. The Advanced Query is available but requires more knowledge to use. It is suggested you review the USER MANUAL.
